Police say a 33-year-old homeless man is in the Tulsa County jail after he attacked two EMSA paramedics early Monday.
Officers said the incident happened at the McDonald's at Interstate 244 and Utica about 12:30 a.m.
Paramedics had responded to a medical call at the restaurant. Police said they found Joseph Johnson in a restroom and took him outside. That is when he began fighting with the paramedics, pushing one out of the ambulance.
Tulsa Police arrived and had to use a Taser and pepper spray to subdue Johnson. He was handcuffed and taken to jail where he was booked on two complaints of assault and battery on emergency personnel and resisting arrest.
Officers believed Johnson had been drinking prior to the incident.
Jail records show Joseph Johnson was being held on $10,500 bond with a court appearance set for July 6.
