Driver Rescued From High Water, Memorial Drive Closed

Bixby firefighters rescued a man from a van after he drove into high water on a road in south Tulsa County Thursday morning. 

The rescue happened just south of 201st Street South on Memorial Drive.

Bixby firefighters said there were no barricades across the road when the man drove into the water. A Tulsa County crew then put up barricades to block off the road at 191st Street South and Memorial.  

The driver was not injured.
