A small plane has gone down near the Haskell Airport Saturday afternoon. Airport owner Eddy Reynolds said the plane lost power shortly after takeoff around 1 p.m.

The plane is a light sport plane with two people on board, he said. It landed in a pasture east of the airport.

No one was injured.

The plane is registered to a Wagoner company, KT5 Aviation, according to the FAA registry. It is a fixed wing, single-engine aircraft manufactured by Flight Design.

Haskell Airport was the site of an open house and fly-in from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The Haskell Airport is east of Highway 64 off 194th Street West in Muskogee County.

Nearby witnesses said they believe soft grounds due to the recent rains contributed to the plane flipping over.
