The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says a $5.2-million resurfacing project will begin Friday in Tulsa and Rogers counties.

In all, there are four separate resurfacing projects...

  • Interstate 44/Highway 412 near Highway 66 junction near Catoosa
  • Highway 169 between 21st Street South and 51st Street South
  • Highways 64/51 (Broken Arrow Expressway) from the southeast corner of the IDL to Lewis
  • Interstate 244 from south of Arkansas River south to the Highway 75 junction

ODOT says work will begin on the I-44 and I-244 segments first with plans to start the rest over the coming months. They say there will be various lane and possible ramp closures and drivers should plan ahead for significant delays.

The overall project is expected to complete in early October, weather permitting.

ODOT will have updates in its traffic advisory section of its website.
