Sand Springs' police chief has a new job. Thursday morning, the city announced Daniel Bradley, who has served as police chief for 20 years has been promoted to Assistant City Manager for Sand Springs.
City manager Elizabeth Gray says Bradley was the obvious choice for the job.
“When I arrived at the City of Sand Springs, I was struck by the leadership Chief Bradley has displayed in the way he manages the police department. It is this type of forward thinking that I wish to further within all aspects of the city. I also think it is of great value to have a person as my assistant who has dedicated his life to our community and has made so many positive contributions to our citizens,” said Elizabeth Gray.
Gray says in his new job, Daniel Bradley will oversee many of the day to day operations of the city. Other duties will include handling personnel matters and develop an ongoing management training program for city employees.
