Tulsa Police Chase Ends At Scene Of Separate Robbery

Police arrested two men after a high speed chase across Tulsa late Sunday.

Police arrested two men after a high speed chase across Tulsa late Sunday. 

Officers said the pair, Armando Avina, 35, and Luis Damian, 45, both from Tulsa were spotted driving a maroon minivan away from a report of a burglary in the 3900 block of North Lansing at 11:15 p.m. 

Police said speeds during the chase reached 70 m.p.h. It ended a few minutes later when the minivan's two front tires went flat at 15th and Lewis in front of a Walgreens which just had been robbed.

Inside the minivan, police found items believed to be taken in the burglary. 

An officer said a witness also identified Avina and Damian who were then arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of second degree burglary and burglary from vehicle as well as several traffic offenses.
