NE Oklahoma Under Dense Fog Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for areas north and east of Tulsa until 9 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for areas north and east of Tulsa until 9 a.m.  

Counties in the advisory include Adair, Cherokee, Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Muskogee, Nowata, Ottawa, Sequoyah, Wagoner and Washington.

Drivers are advised to slow down when driving in fog.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the fog should clear out after 9 a.m. After it does, he says temperatures across eastern Oklahoma will reach near 80 with light southeast winds.

Later in the day Thursday, Crone says some scattered storms could develop in southwest and western Oklahoma. Those storms are expected to move into eastern Oklahoma early Friday bringing a decent chance of showers and storms.
