Owasso Driver Runs Over Woman's Foot, Goes To Jail

A man was arrested after he ran over a woman's foot at an Owasso intersection Saturday morning. A News On 6 viewer witnessed the incident which has been confirmed by Owasso police.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. at 86th Street North and 145th East Avenue.

The viewer said the driver was eastbound when he left the road and hit a curb and light pole in front of the Family Video. The Jeep then hit a pedestrian who was about to cross the street, injuring her foot.

Police say they arrested 18-year-old Bailey Gardner on suspicion of driving under the influence - under 21, and possession of marijuana. 

The arresting officer said there was a baggie with a green leafy substance in plain view in the car and a brown, sticky substance on wax paper in the teen's wallet, according to an arrest report. Both tested positive for marijuana, police say.

The woman was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
