Police said a security guard nabbed a man who broke into a Tulsa convenience store early Monday.

Officers said the man, Cewanee Steele, 39, broke the front glass of the One Stop convenience store in the 12800 block of East 41st Street near 129th East Avenue setting off an alarm at 2:24 a.m.

Police Sgt. Jeremy Noland said a guard with Jarvis Security, who was hired to watch the store arrived ahead of police officers, saw Steele leaving the store and placed him into custody.

Sgt. Noland said Steele had cut himself on the glass and was treated at the scene by EMSA paramedics.

Police said the only damage to the store was the broken glass. Cewanee Steele was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on a second degree burglary complaint.
