Easter Sunday services are underway in Green Country. Some sunrise services moved indoors while others continued outside in the rain.

Minister Bill Crowell of Boston Avenue Church says having a sunrise service is all about celebrating the hope of resurrection as the sun comes up.

"This is a real message of hope for people. For us, as Christians, we are ones that see that in Jesus' resurrection is hope for the world, that death is not a barrier at all for anyone," Crowell said.

"We put our faith in this wonderful event, and God is at the core at it. It's really God's power that tells us that we are free people - those that walk with him - you can have true hope in the world."

The Boston Avenue congregation moved their service indoors as rain fell. Others - such as at Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa - continued their worship service outdoors.
