Utility workers are working to restore power in Chetopa, Kansas, just a couple miles north of the Oklahoma-Kansas state line.

Severe weather blew a large tree down onto one of the town's main power lines early Friday knocking out power to half of community.

The Chetopa Police Department says the only damage they know of happened on Chuck Pfeifer's property. He told News On 6 he was lucky.

Emergency managers in nearby Welch haven't found any damage there.
