Texting Blamed For Rollover Crash On Will Rogers Turnpike

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol blames texting for a rollover crash on the Will Rogers Turnpike near the Missouri state line Wednesday afternoon.

Troopers said Amanda Bowman, 27, of Joplin was westbound on Interstate 44 just west of the Missouri state line at 4:25 p.m. when the crash happened. They said her 2003 Honda ran off the road, struck a ditch and rolled four times.

The OHP said Bowman suffered head and leg injuries in the 4:25 p.m. crash. According to troopers she was wearing a seat belt. Paramedics took her to a Joplin hospital. No other vehicles were involved..
