Oral Roberts lands another victory against Omaha in game two, claiming sole possession of first place.

The Golden Eagles started the game with a 1-2-3 inning from Xavier Altamirano, before grabbing their bats. At the bottom of the inning, Omaha quickly got two outs, before Matt Brandy singled through the left side. Brandy then got caught stealing to end the first.

ORU's field performance at the top of the second didn't last long, going three up three down.

The bottom of two was a turning point for Oral Roberts, as the team managed to score Derrian James after he singled to left field.

The Golden Eagles continued to stay sharp in the field, keeping the Mavericks scoreless.

BIG INNING: Oral Roberts increased its lead 5-0 (on five hits) at the bottom of three, after Audie Afenir bombed one over center fielder Alex Schultz's head for a two-RBI triple. James then brought Afenir in, giving the Golden Eagles a 4-0 advantage. Next, Nick Roark brought in James for run number five before Omaha made out number three.

The Golden Eagles continued to stay hot, tallying two more runs in the sixth inning to carry a 7-0 lead into the seventh.

Omaha scored its first run at the top of seven, after Daniel Jewett scored Clayton Taylor from second base. The Mavericks now trailed 7-1.

Sean Leary came in to pitch for Altamirano going into eight. In Altamirano's seven innings he only allowed three hits and one run, and recorded seven strikeouts.

The Mavericks didn't have much luck with Leary either, as the team went down in order.

RUN-RULE: The bottom of eight was another big inning for the Golden Eagles, as the team posted four more runs, run-ruling Omaha 11-1 to end the game.
