Tulsa police say a toddler and a teenager were shot late Friday night outside the Apache Manor apartments, a housing authority complex near East Apache Street and North Harvard.
The 3-year-old boy was shot in the arm and an 18-year-old male in the chest and leg, according to police.
Officers went to the complex around 10:30 p.m. after people reported hearing gunshots. They found a small amount of blood outside an apartment and believe the shooting took place in the parking lot.
"Multiple conflicting stories are being given by all parties," a news release states. "It is unsure if the incident revolves around an argument or whether the victims were robbed in the parking lot."
Officers found shell casings outside and a small amount of drugs in the apartment. They also recovered two firearms.
The wounded arrived at a Tulsa hospital in personal vehicles; their conditions have not been released. Police say they are continuing to investigate the double shooting.
News On 6 ran into HUD investigators at the apartment complex, and they said they are investigating on behalf of the housing development along with police.
We've tried to talk to neighbors, but most said they don't know anything and want to keep it that way.One mother we spoke with said she was very upset when she heard what happened and hopes someone comes forward with information, but she declined to talk on camera.
