Thursday, Rogers County courthouse workers got a lesson in safety.
The Sheriff's office hosted an active shooter training.
Actors were brought in and the workers were given scenarios to see how they'd respond in a violent situation.
“This is a building where child custodies, lawsuits and divorces occur. It's a very emotionally charged building. You hate to be negative, but not a lot of good things happen inside the courthouse," Rogers County Sheriff, Scott Walton said.
He said the lessons the courthouse workers learned will help them in other places in the community as well.
