Police say two men died in a home invasion in east Tulsa overnight.
Officers said a resident at the Suzanne Apartments on 12th Street near Mingo told them he shot two men after they broke into his apartment at about 2:30 a.m. Police said Kejuan Shields, 22, and Demario Harris, 34, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a third intruder escaped by climbing out a rear window.
Detectives spent most of the night processing evidence, finding evidence of a struggle inside the apartment. They questioned the two residents in the apartment and released them.
A woman who said she is the mother of the man who shot the two intruders had left minutes before the shooting and was concerned for her son's safety. She says Joshua is a paraplegic after he was shot in July 2011.
