A Cleveland man was injured after crashing into a tree Saturday night in Tulsa County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say it appears the man had been drinking.

Michael Don Hendricks was driving a Ford F350 pickup and pulling a boat on Highway 412 just west of 129th West Avenue at 10:08 p.m., according to a collision report. The 24-year-old man drove off the roadway, overcorrected and went into a broad slide, with the truck wrapping around a tree.

Hendricks was taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition with multiple injuries, the trooper says in his report. Investigators aren't sure whether he was wearing a seat belt.

Investigators say there was an odor of alcohol at the scene and that the cause of the crash was driving under the influence.
