Tulsa Water Department Fixes 12-Inch Water Main Twice

City of Tulsa water department workers are repairing a broken water main at a busy intersection.

The break in a 12-inch water line at 41st and Harvard was reported at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Workers thought they had it fixed early Thursday, but it turns out the line began leaking and they had to replace it again.

Because of the repair work, several lanes on 41st Street and Harvard remain closed to traffic. Drivers are having to navigate around the barricades. One outside lane on north Harvard is closed as are two eastbound lanes on 41st Street.

Officials hope to have repairs be completed sometime Thursday afternoon.
