Broken Arrow police stopped a man for an inoperable headlight and ended up arresting him on several complaints, including child pornography.
Matthew Nathaniel Singer is in the Tulsa County Jail Tuesday.
An officer stopped Singer's vehicle around 11:30 p.m. in the 500 block of West Kenosha for the traffic violation. He said he could smell burning marijuana and asked the 23-year-old man to get out of the car.
The officer learned Singer had an expired driver's license and found five pills identified as Alprazolam, a controlled drug. Singer reportedly told the officer he had purchased the pills from a dealer and did not have a prescription.
During questioning, police say Singer also admitted to using his cell phone to download photos of underage, naked females, the report states. The officer said he found one photo believed to be child pornography and that Singer said he'd deleted others.
The Broken Arrow resident was booked on complaints of felony possession of child pornography, possession of a controlled substance, driving with an expired license and driving with defective lighting.
