Tulsa Police are investigating after a man was injured outside a laundromat at Pine and Sheridan early Friday.

Officers said the initial call just after 1 a.m. concerned a burglary in progress at the business. But when they arrived, officers found three victims who told them they had been assaulted and shot at by unknown assailants.

Police said one victim was treated by EMSA paramedics at the scene for injuries from being pistol whipped and was taken to the hospital. No word on his condition.

Officers said the victims' van had struck a vacuum at a nearby car wash then hit the wall of the laundromat causing damage to the building and the van. The van's owner said they had hit the building while trying to get away from the shooters. Officers found several bullet holes in the van as well as several shell casing in the parking lot.

Police Corporal Kevin Warne says they've gotten conflicting stories about what actually happened and are now trying to sort them out.

He says the only description of the assailants was they were driving a possible red colored Ford F150 pickup truck which left the scene headed east on Pine.
