The Tulsa men's basketball team will wrap its three-game homestand with a Wednesday night game against Tulane.
The Golden Hurricane won its last contest against Temple this past Sunday. The teams 55-39 victory put them at 19-7 overall and 12-2 in the American Athletic. James Woodard scored a game-high 16 points, while Rashad Smith recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Tulsa's 19-7 standing under its new head coach Frank Haith is the program's best record through 26 games in a coach's first-year since the 2001-2002 season.
Wednesday night's 7:00 p.m. tip off will be the 19th meeting between Tulsa and Tulane, in which Tulsa leads the series 13-5. The Golden Hurricane has won four in a row, and nine of its last ten matchups vs. the Green Wave. At home, TU holds a 7-1 record in the series.
Tulsa's most recent meeting with Tulane was on January 27, 2015. In that game, Shaquille Harrison led Tulsa with 16 points. Rashad Ray and D'Andre Wright also added 12 points apiece, while Brandon Swannegan tallied eight points and contributed three blocks and two steals.
The Golden Hurricane shot 44 percent from the field, while holding Tulane to just 36 percent shooting. Marquel Curtis had a game-high eight rebounds, as Tulsa outrebounded the Green Wave 42-31. TU finished the matchup with a 78-71 victory.
