The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says it seized nearly 300 bricks of marijuana found hidden in a pickup during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Okmulgee County on Thursday.
According to The Henryettan newspaper, the trooper stopped the pickup for a speeding violation, and the two women inside were acting suspicious so he asked to search the vehicle. The OHP said, in a false compartment in the bed of the pickup, troopers found the marijuana wrapped in numerous small plastic packages.
Troopers told the newspaper the estimated street value of the marijuana is $1.5 million.
The two women, Victoria Gonzalez, 21, and Shawna De La Paz, 33, were booked into the Okmulgee County jail on drug trafficking complaints.
