Green Country saw a short burst of wintry precipitation Tuesday evening. Accumulations weren't much, but the rain and wintry mix was briefly heavy, according to WARN Team meteorologists.

It's was expected in Tulsa around 6 p.m. in the form of rain at that point. Some lightning was reported, and we had a windy, blustery evening, according to WARN Team Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer.

Other areas north and east saw more of a wintry mix and snow showers. Around 5:30 p.m., several News On 6 viewers reported snow near Mannford and winds of 30-50 miles per hour in Skiatook.

Due to the incoming blast, the National Weather Service in Tulsa issued a significant weather advisory until 6:30 Tuesday evening for Craig, Creek, Delaware, Mayes, Osage, Ottawa, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner.

Colder air will be moving again into the state Tuesday night and Wednesday.

A brief warm-up is expected by the end of the week into Saturday, but we may see another storm system that is likely to produce rain Saturday.
