An oil spill in south Tulsa is causing a mile-long traffic jam for drivers.

Tulsa Fire Department HAZMAT crews are cleaning up about 250-300 gallons of oil on Yale near the Creek Turnpike.

Reports say two totes of oil fell off a truck; one of them broke and oil spilled out.

TFD said the oil is contained, but they are still cleaning it up.

One lane of northbound Yale is closed while crews are out, but Osage SkyNews 6 pilot Will Kavanagh said a second is being closed from time to time as well.

No word on how long crews will be out.
