News On 6's WARN team is forecasting a chance of snow flurries across much of northeast Oklahoma Wednesday evening after a cold front arrives earlier in the day.

News On 6 meteorologist Mike Grogan says the winter precip will be proceeded by falling temperatures and gusty north winds.

He says snow flakes may be spotted from Ponca City to Miami and Bartlesville to Muskogee. Grogan says western Arkansas and southwest Missouri could see some snow accumulations as well as the storm system pushes east.

Grogan says the cold air will be short lived however as warmer air will return to Oklahoma by Friday with highs expected in the 50s and 60s. Another cool front will race across Oklahoma on Sunday dropping temps by just a few degrees.
