Tulsa Police say a 29-year-old man died after he crashed into a utility pole at 33rd and South Harvard Wednesday night.
Officers said the crash happened shortly before 11 p.m.
The driver, identified as Fritz Williams was headed south on Harvard in a Mercury Grand Marquis and for some unknown reason, according to police, crossed the center line into the northbound lanes, struck a street sign then the pole. Firefighters had to peel the roof of the car off to free Williams.
Officers said the Williams was pronounced dead at the hospital.
