ORU women's basketball held off Omaha for a 74-53 Summit League victory.
The Golden Eagles shot over 50 percent from the field for the second time in three games. The team also extended its winning streak to three games. More importantly, ORU improved to 4-3 in Summit League play and 10-10 on the season.
A balanced scoring attack from ORU was led by redshirt-senior Vicky McIntyre who posted her 14th double-double of the season. McIntyre led all players with 18 points and 10 rebounds while also adding five blocks.
ORU dominated inside as they outscored Omaha 38-18 in the paint. The Golden Eagles also tied a season-high at the free throw line shooting 85 percent on 17-of-20.
The Turning Point
Oral Roberts jumped out to a hot start shooting over 70 percent most of the first half. The Golden Eagles were able to hold off a second half run by Omaha, responding with a 14-5 run midway through the second half. ORU also shut the door on the Mavericks as they finished the game on a 12-4 run over the final 6:41 of the game.
Game Leaders
Oral Roberts: Vicky McIntyre recorded her 14th double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.
Omaha: Brianna Bogard scored a team-high 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting.

ORU heads north to take on South Dakota State Thursday and league-leading South Dakota on Saturday. Tip-off against SDSU is set for 7 p.m.
