Police said a 20-year-old man was wounded when shots were fired outside a south Tulsa apartment complex late Monday.
Officers said one of the bullets went through a window at the Windsail Apartments in the 9800 block of East 73rd Street at about 7:50 p.m. and struck the man standing inside in the leg. They said the victim's father and sister were also inside the apartment at the time. Neither was injured.
EMSA took the victim to the hospital with what police said was a non-life threatening injury.
Police Sergeant Dave Walker said investigators recovered 10 shell casings and 5 bullets near the apartment.
Walker said witnesses said the shooter was a white male in his 20s and wearing a camo jacket. Those witnesses said the man ran to a dark colored car which drove away after the shooting.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
