Missing Ottawa County Millionaire Found Safe In SW Missouri

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says a missing man was located in southwest Missouri Monday afternoon.

Relatives reported Michael Arne, 48, missing last week after he disappeared from a shed he was living in behind his niece's home.

KOAM, the CBS affiliate in Joplin, Missouri reports Arne inherited nearly $2 million from his father, but since being diagnosed with mild schizophrenia last year there has been a family fight over his money and power of attorney.

The sheriff's office says Michael Arne was taken to Joplin hospital where he was treated for exposure. No word on if he was released from the hospital.
