The latest flu numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are out and the virus is spreading.

The CDC says the flu is widespread in almost every state including Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health will release its weekly flu report on Thursday, but last week, the agency reported three new flu-related deaths and more than 160 people hospitalized due to influenza.

The OSDH  said the number of flu deaths this season in Oklahoma now stands at nine.
