A Republican state legislator is raising concerns over Attorney General Scott Pruitt's decision to sue the state of Colorado over legalized marijuana.

Broken Arrow State Representative Mike Ritze said the lawsuit could have serious implications, if it's successful.

He sent a letter to the Pruitt's office saying "This is not about marijuana at its core -- it is about the U.S. Constitution, the Tenth Amendment, and the right of states to govern themselves as they see fit."

Even though marijuana is legal in Colorado, it's still a crime under federal law.

Pruitt's lawsuit claims Colorado's commercialized marijuana system violates the Constitution.

He said marijuana bought in Colorado is being illegally trafficked into neighboring states, including Oklahoma.

Nebraska's attorney general is also suing Colorado.
