Tulsa Memorial matched up against Owasso in the Tournament of Champions title game Wednesday night. Memorial got off to a good start, leading Owasso 20-14 by the end of the first quarter.
With 3:47 left in the second, Shake Milton hit an in-the-paint bucket to advance the Rams lead by two. Owasso managed to carry a 38-29 lead going into halftime.
The third quarter got off to a quick start, with the Rams expanding its lead 45-35 with three minutes left before the fourth.
With 6:20 to play in the final quarter, the Chargers began to cut away at Owasso's lead. At the five minute mark, Memorial only trailed by two, (54-52). The Chargers continued to fight, and tied the game 54-54 with four minutes to go. The game went back-and-forth in the final minute, but ended in a 66-66 tie, resulting in overtime. The game proceeded to go into triple overtime, ending with a 93-88 Tulsa Memorial victory.
Girls
East Central took on Muskogee Wednesday night for Tournament of Champions title game. The game stayed close during the first quarter, Muskogee only leading 13-10 going into the second.
By halftime, the Roughers had increased its lead 26-21.
Although the game remained close in the third quarter, Muskogee managed to hold onto its lead. The Cardinals closed the quarter trailing by three, (42-39).
The Cardinals stepped up its game in the final quarter, tying it 54-54 (with a shot from Trena Mims), sending the game into overtime. East Central put up a fight, came back, and won 66-62 by the end of overtime.
