Local Business Spreads Cheer Through Secret Santa Giveaway

Tis the season for Christmas surprises, but as some of the folks of PCC Restoration found out, even giving money away for no particular reason can be difficult.

In a Secret Santa project, Dough Martin and Dennis Gaulding – along with eight other crews – were out with about $1,000 to give away.

"We wanna make 'em smile for no particular reason," Martin said.

What they found was that there's a lot of standing around looking for the right person, and sometimes people seemed too busy to slow down, even for free money.

So the group decided to head to QuikTrip and hand out $10 gas cards instead. $10 buys more gas now than it did a few weeks ago, and people seemed pretty excited.

"Being able to do what we did it was great," Martin said.

The folks at PCC Restoration hope to spread cheer like this again next year.
