The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says drinking and driving led to a crash late Monday north of Broken Arrow in Wagoner County.

Troopers said just before 11 p.m. the driver of a 2008 Kia headed south on 209th East Avenue lost control near 31st East Avenue, causing the car to go off the road, hit a ditch and roll over.

The OHP says Feron Hammon, 24, of Broken Arrow, who was not wearing a seat belt was injured. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital to be checked out.

Troopers said Broken Arrow firefighters had to pull the overturned car off Hammon's foot.

The OHP cited Hammons for driving while intoxicated.
