Tulsa Police are searching for three men who may have committed a string of armed robberies this weekend. So far, they have not been found.
The men are suspected of tasering a woman in south Tulsa Saturday night while stealing her purse.
Officers brought out K9s in east Tulsa following one of the robberies. A man called police just after 1 a.m. to say he'd been robbed after parking his Ford Explorer at the Shoreline Apartments, 9900 East 23rd Street.
That victim said he was ambushed by three suspects after getting out of his SUV. At least one of the men was armed with a pistol, according to Tulsa Police Corporal David Young. The men got away with the SUV which was spotted not long afterward in the 2000 block of 85th East Avenue.
When an officer pulled the Explorer over, the men jumped out and ran off into a nearby neighborhood. Young said K9s weren't able to keep the scent because of the damp ground, and all three men escaped.
The descriptions of these suspects are similar to those from the earlier armed robbery of a woman at the Creekwood Apartments, 81st and Memorial, police say. The woman told police she felt a strong shock and could not hold onto her purse, so they believe the suspects used a Taser.
Police are looking for a late 2000s model white GMC Yukon or Chevy Suburban that the men were thought to be driving when the carjacking took place.
