Police in Rogers say they have found a 2-year-old boy safe after an Amber Alert was issued Thursday morning.

Police told KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the child was located in Atoka in southeast Oklahoma Thursday afternoon.

Rogers Police said the mother had called to report she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend and that Brent Wilks had taken Alex Almodovar and left the residence. An Amber Alert was issued.

Police said someone in eastern Oklahoma who had seen the Amber Alert spotted Wilks' vehicle and called 911. The Atoka County Sheriff's Office stopped the car, retrieved the child and arrested Wilks.

The child was reported to be in good health.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
