Local Company Donates Christmas Dinner To Elementary Students, Staff

Christmas dinner was delivered early for folks at the Jackson Elementary School.

The Darby Equipment Company handed out around 300 hams to the families of students and staff.

The company's office is near the school and it's the second year they've given out hams.

They're hoping their generosity will challenge other successful businesses to give back to the community as well.

"Well, there's a lot of need out there. So, you know, we feel very fortunate to have the success we've had and to be able to give back to the community. And we hope it's something more companies would consider doing," said Ryan Darby with Darby Equipment Company.

The company plans to hand out another 350 hams at the Gilcrease Elementary School, Thursday.
