Tulsa police are taking guns off the streets, and replacing them with coats. It's their "Coats For Guns" project.
TPD's Organized Gang Unit took 214 firearms out of the hands of criminals so far this year - that's a record. Now the officers are handing out that many coats to anyone they see in need.
Photojournalist Michael Blair followed Oklahoma's Own as they gave even more to the community they serve.

An anonymous donor provided all of the new coats. Any coats that left over after a few days will be donated to "Trav's Coats For Kids."
You can donate to Coats for Kids, too. Just drop off a new or gently used coat to any Yale Cleaners.
They clean and mend it, then Catholic Charities will make sure it gets to someone in need.
