Four members of a Tulsa family escaped a fire in their home early Thursday.
The Tulsa Fire Department was sent to the 200 block of South 102nd East Avenue just after 1 a.m. Firefighters say a man, his wife, son and 14-year-old granddaughter were in the home when a fire broke out in a room being used for storage.
Karl Willis told News On 6 his wife got up to let the dog out when she smelled smoke and got everyone else up and out of the home safely.
Fire investigators are now trying to determine the cause of the fire which only damaged the one room of the home. Willis believes the fire started in an electrical outlet in the room.
The family is now back in the home..
