A Broken Arrow company is expanding and hiring more workers thanks to a state program.
RISE Manufacturing was recently accepted into Oklahoma's Quality Jobs program which allows them to hire more employees with state help.
So far, RISE has hired around 30 employees. Under the "Quality Jobs" program, RISE will get tax rebates for the amount of people that they hire. That will allow them to hire an additional 175 employees over the next 10 years. RISE says these employees will work to produce parts, vessels and structures for the energy, defense and aerospace industries.
"I'm glad that we can get out there and help people in the community. I know they've shown us plenty of support with all their programs and I mean we have all these community leaders here supporting us," said Matt Torres, RISE Manufacturing president.
RISE has been in business for almost two years, but thanks to the acceptance into the "Quality Jobs" program, Torres says they will be expanding at their location in the 1600 block of East Iola Street.
In fact, the company says they've doubled their company size in just the past two months.
