A car driving away from a wreck rolled several times and ejected the driver Monday night, according to the OHP.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said two vehicles were in the northbound turn lane on Peoria Avenue near I-44 at 7:30 p.m. when one of the cars rear-ended the other one.
OHP Captain Dwight Durant said the occupants of the car that was hit got out to see the damage, but when they did, the other car, a 2005 Honda Accord, drove away going west on I-44.
The OHP says the Accord was driven by 43-year-old Von Dale Johnson.
Durant said Johnson attempted to take the ramp to northbound Highway 75 at a high speed and the Accord rolled several times and came to rest on its top.
The crash ejected Johnson who went to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition, Durant said.
The OHP said the occupants of the vehicle that was hit were at the scene when troopers arrived and were released. The OHP said Johnson was not using his seat belt at the time of the accident.
