A Broken Arrow man says he's on cloud 9 after a tip led to the return of his stolen utility vehicle. Jarod Moore contacted News On 6 over the Thanksgiving holiday after his trailer and Polaris Ranger were stolen from outside his home Saturday morning.

Moore's social media account "blew up" after the story aired with tips from people who thought they'd seen the stolen UTV, he said. One woman in the Collinsville area spotted the trailer abandoned along the side of 136th Street North between Yale and Sheridan, and the Polaris was found in a field nearby.

"I guess they got scared last night and went and dumped it," Moore said Monday of the thieves. He recovered his property and stopped by News On 6 to say thanks.

He hopes to give half the $1,000 reward to the woman who spotted his missing property but said she seemed reluctant to take it. The other half Moore is still offering to anyone with information that can lead to the capture of the thieves.

"If they've done it to me, they'll do it to other people," he said. "I want them to know the people of northeastern Oklahoma won't stand for this stuff."

The Broken Arrow firefighter and Air Force veteran said he hadn't really slept in two days, but is feeling much better now. The thieves had done some damage to the UTV but he is taking it to the dealership after he takes it by the police station.

"They left some stuff in the field around it, so the police may be able to get some finger prints off it or the stuff they discarded," he said.

Neighbors said they saw a black Acura scoping out the area, and a neighbor's security video shows what appears to be a dark-colored Nissan or Toyota truck that what used during the theft.

If you have any information that can help police track down the thieves, call 918-259-8400.
