A 77-year-old Barnsdall man died on Saturday after crashing his vehicle in Osage County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Leslie Lee Bird was driving a 2005 Subaru Baja on Javine Hill Road, south of Avant, at about 11:20 a.m. when the wreck happened.
The investigating trooper said in his collision report that Bird departed the road to the right, overcorrected, left the road to the left, overcorrected again and departed to the right once more. His vehicle went into a broadslide and crashed into a culvert, a tree, then rolled, the OHP said.
Bird was partially ejected. A medical helicopter flew him to a Tulsa hospital, where he later died, the report says.
Bird was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the trooper.
