Convicted Okmulgee County Sex Offender Arrested In Coweta

Wagoner County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 73-year old Coweta man Monday on a lewd molestation complaint.

Sheriff's Major Gary Handley said their office received information Larry Ramhorst had been molesting a 6-year-old girl. Investigators served a search warrant at Ramhorst's home and confiscated several phones and a computer tablet.

They also interviewed Ramhorst and learned the alleged molestation had been going on since early 2014 and had occurred at two locations in the county including Ramhorst's home, a news release states.

He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Wagoner County jail.

Oklahoma Department of Corrections records show Ramhorst received a 10-year suspended sentence in 2002 for a sodomy conviction out of Okmulgee County.

The sheriff's office says Ramhorst remains behind bars awaiting a bond hearing.
