Owners Of Grove 'Gitter Done' Convenience Store Sentenced For Selling K2

A federal court judge sentenced the two owners of a Grove convenience store to prison for selling synthetic marijuana - and seized millions in assets.

Two Grove convenience store owners have been sentenced to prison for selling synthetic marijuana, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma's Office.

They were sentenced to 9 and 7 years in prison for selling the controlled substance at the Gitter Done station, a news release states.

Iqbal Makkar of Arkansas and Gaurav Sehgal of Grove were sentenced following a five-day trial for conspiracy to distribute controlled drug analogues, possession of controlled drug analogues with intent to distribute, maintaining drug-involved premises and money laundering. Both are 37.

Court records state that the two men operated the store selling the controlled substance under names like Diablo, Joker, Kush and Scooby Snax - a substance sprayed with XLR11 which has similar effects as THC in marijuana.

The judge who found them guilty forfeited their interests in two convenience stores valued at over $1 million, two residences and four other properties valued at $1.7 million. The judge also seized over $700,000 in currency and a Range Rover, the release states.
