Police arrested a man for stealing an aquarium from a downtown business overnight, thanks to a suspicious security officer.

Officers said the security officer saw Joshua Hood, 27, walking down the street carrying an aquarium at about 3:30 a.m. The security officer held him until police arrived.

Police did some checking and discovered the front door smashed in at the old Brix Office Supply at 608 East 3rd Street. They say Hood went through that building to get to an aquarium business located in the back.

According to police, the aquarium was empty when Hood stole it and they set its value at $140.

Joshua Hood was booked into the Tulsa County jail on two complaints of second-degree burglary.  Jail records show his bond was $10,000 with court appearance set for December 1, 2014.
