Creek County Couple Found Dead In Home Northwest Of Sapulpa

The Creek County Sheriff's Office is investigating after deputies found an elderly couple dead inside a rural home Monday evening.

In a news release, Creek County Sheriff's Sergeant Les Vaughn said deputies were sent to the home in the 7700 block of South 145th West Avenue at about 6:24 p.m. after getting a call from Creek County Ambulance Service. 

Inside the home, they found a man and woman, both in their 80s dead from apparent single gunshot wounds.

Sgt. Vaughn says the bodies have been to the state Medical Examiner's office in Tulsa who will make a determination on the manner of death. 

He said the names of the couple have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
