Funeral For Owasso Detective 'Mo' Mozingo Held Saturday

Owasso Detective Bill "Mo" Mozingo, 51, will be laid to rest Saturday, November 15, 2014. He died of natural causes on November 12.

Mozingo had been a member of the Owasso Police Department since 1991. He was an Owasso High School graduate and played football for the Owasso Rams.

He served his country in the United States Army and had a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Rogers State. He began his law enforcement career with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

Owasso Deputy Chief of Police Jason Woodruff said starting at noon, a funeral procession of marked patrol cars from area agencies will provide an escort from Mowery Funeral Home at 9110 North Garnett Road to the Owasso High School Performing Arts Center at 12901 East 86th Street North.

Mozingo's memorial service will being at 2 p.m. at the high school PAC with family, friends and the public invited to pay their respects.

He is survived by his wife Angela; three children and two grandchildren.

Funeral arrangement are by Mowery Funeral Home.
