A Tulsa man pleaded guilty Thursday to aiming a laser pointer at the Tulsa Police helicopter.
Carl Don Floyd, 43, had originally pleaded not guilty, but at a change of plea hearing Friday he admitted that on February 15, 2014 he aimed a laser pointer at Tulsa Police helicopter three times.

According to court documents, the first time the laser light landed on the fuselage. As the crew flew toward the source of the light, the laser then hit one of the officers in both eyes. When the laser flashed a third time, the crew was able to pinpoint the source.
Court documents say the officer who was hit in the eyes experienced flash blindness.
Floyd is scheduled to be sentenced on February 20, 2015. He faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
