Tulsa Police arrested three teenagers they say robbed several people within two hours Tuesday evening.
Police said they received the first robbery call at about 8:30 p.m..
Tulsa Police Captain Wendell Franklin said the robberies took place in parking lots at Bradford Creek at 21st and 109th, the Evergreen Apartments near the 8900 block of East 26th and the Heatherstone Apartments in the 3300 block of South Mingo.
He said the robbers held the victims at gunpoint and took wallets and money.
Franklin said all of the victims identified the SUV used by the trio as being a white Chevy Tahoe.
“One of the victims was very descriptive in saying that the rear wheel was a spare tire,” Franklin said.
An officer spotted the Tahoe and pulled it over on 31st Street between Garnett and 129th East Avenue and noticed the spare tire, Franklin said.
“The witnesses and the victim of the robberies were very descriptive of the vehicle so they really helped us out,” Franklin said.
Franklin said all of the robbery calls described two robbers, but police believe the third teen stayed with the Tahoe.
“We looked inside the vehicle, we discovered a gun and all of the loot from the various robberies,” said Franklin.
Police haven't released the names or ages of the suspects.
